Virginia Grimsley Bennett, age 89, of Avon Park, FL, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024.  She was born February 20, 1934 in Wauchula, FL to Glenn and Geneva (Roberts) Grimsley.  She was a Beautician, served on the State Board of Cosmetology, of Baptist Faith, and had been a lifelong resident of Avon Park, FL.  Virginia is survived by her Sons – Steven Zimmerman (Susan) of Lake Wales, FL; Bill McKown (Donna) of Avon Park, FL; Brother – Charles Grimsley (Pat) of Zolfo Springs, FL; 6 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husband – Dan Bennett; and Sister – Mary Ellen Bushaw.  Funeral services will be held Monday, February 5, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home with interment following in Bougainvillea Cemetery.
