Wilma Athey Dean Bryant, age 87, died Feb. 1, 2015. She was born May 27, 1927 in Gahanna, OH to William M. and Josephine Athey. She graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School and then moved to Reynoldsburg where she worked in Hayes' Drug Store. She later purchased the building and with her husband opened Village Ice Cream Shop; they owned it for eleven years, before moving to FL, and she retired from JC Penny's. Wilma also enjoyed playing golf, was a life member of the Gahanna Community Congregational Church, and member of Reynoldsburg Historical Society. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Herman Dean, sisters Carrie Maxine Athey and Lois McNerney. She is survived by her husband Herman Bryant, sister Glenna Athey King, nephews and nieces: William McNerney (Linda), Michael McNerney (Debbie), Diana King Morgan (Paul), Robert King (Diane), many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Step nephew and nieces: Jerry Bryant (Linda), Terry Bryant (Cindy), Randy Bryant, Cheryl Tucker, Stephanie Bryant, many grand and great grandchildren, and good friends; Barbara and Jesse Caines.
