William James Sbordone, age 74, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013, in Sebring. He was born July 11, 1939, to William T. and Assunta (Cecere) Sbordone in Jersey City, New Jersey, and had been a resident of Sebring since 2004, coming from Boca Raton, Florida. He was a ceramic tile contractor and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1961 until 1963. He attended St. Catherine Catholic Church, collected pocket watches and enjoyed fishing,golf and family time and he loved his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Sbordone; son, Nicholas (Tiffany) Sbordone, Boynton Beach, FL; sister, Ursula Sbordone and brother, Robert Sbordone, both of New York; and two grandchildren, Baylen and Brody Sbordone. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and again from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m., with a Prayer Reading at 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2013, at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Sebring.
