William Robert Ricker

William Robert Ricker, age 88,  passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024, in Sebring, Florida. He was born on May 21, 1936, in Madison County, North Carolina, to his loving parents, Ruble and Maude Ricker, who have preceded him in death.

William, known for his adventurous spirit, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family, leaves behind a legacy of love and hard work. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Glenna Jacqueline Ricker, and a caring father to his children, Glenna Jones (Mark), William Ricker (Christy), Darwin Ricker (Mary), and Dwayne Ricker (April). His grandchildren, Timberly, Ryan, Stephen, Rachel, Stephanie, Ashleigh, Christopher, Amelia, Adeline, Case, Catherine and ten great grandchildren, were the light of his life.

William served in the Airforce and later worked as a member of the US Capitol Police. His commitment to service extended beyond his career as he was also a dedicated member of the Sparta Road Baptist Church, finding solace in his faith and the fellowship of his church community.

In his free time, William enjoyed working on tractors, traveling, and spending quality time with his family. His love for Jesus was evident in all he did, and his presence brought joy and warmth to those around him. William was known for his hard work, dedication, and love for his family.

May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love and light he shared so generously in his lifetime.
