William Bernard Parson

William Bernard Parson, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on March 16, 1932 in Hiram, Georgia to the late Wiley Lawton and Margaret Maye (Meadows) Parson. William was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He had been a resident of Sebring since 2003 coming from Travelers Rest, South Carolina. He was a member of the VFW Post 4300, American Legion Post 490 and Highlands Ridge Golf Association. William is survived by his wife: Heidi Parson, children: Michael (Harriet) Parson-GA; Manuela (Ben) Palmer-AZ; Daniel Parson-GA; Vickie (Garry) Holley-GA; Dennis (Melinda) Parson-SC, brother: Lawton Odell (Shirley) Parson-GA, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. There will be a funeral service on Thursday, August 7, 2014, 6:00pm, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home of Sebring with Reverend Scott McLean officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00pm. Burial to take place at Sarasota National Cemetery on Friday, August 8, 2014, 10:30am.
