William Richard Myers

William Richard Myers, born on May 16, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late George and Mary Myers. He passed away on July 30, 2024, in Sebring, Florida, at the age of 89. He was an accomplished automotive engineer and a resident of Avon Park, Florida, for 30 years after moving from Michigan.

A devout member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, William was a man of faith and integrity. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marian Sadie Myers, whom he married in 2008. He leaves behind his daughter, Cynthia Haaseth (Ken) of Michigan. He was a loving step father to: Raymond Deininger of Pennsylvania, Karen Thomas of Florida, Mary Leonard of North Carolina, Thomas Deininger of Pennsylvania, Lori Whastel of Georgia, and Eric Deininger of Pennsylvania. He was a proud grandfather to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughters Julie Sawicki and Susan Myers, his grandson, Charlie Sawicki, his first wife, Mary Jean Myers along with three brothers, and one sister.

William enjoyed golf and fishing. He had a passion for card games, especially Pinochle, and relished the time spent playing with friends.

William will be remembered for his devotion to his family and his competitive yet kind nature. His intelligence and kindness touched the lives of all who knew him.  May he rest in eternal peace.
