William 'Bill' J. Ruthenberg

Bill Ruthenberg, age 93, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on July 23, 1923 in Sawyerwood, Ohio to the late William and Pauline (Kraus) Ruthenberg. Bill proudly served his country as a B-17 pilot with the U.S. Army during WWII. He spent his career at Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in Akron, OH, while living in Mogadore, Ohio. Bill was an avid bowler and was a member of The Turner Club. He and his wife, Ruth, moved to Sebring in the 1990's and golfing, playing cards and going out to dinner with friends were things he enjoyed. Bill loved his family dearly and he will be greatly missed. Survivors include his wife: Ruth (Sullivan) Ruthenberg-Sebring, FL; children: Paula Spann-Denver, CO, Mark Ruthenberg-Kingman, AZ; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one brother: Jim Ruthenberg.
