William "Buddy" H Rogers

William H. “Buddy” Rogers passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Lacoochee, Florida on Saturday, March 18, 1937 to Willie T. Rogers and Gertrude Jane (Larramore) Rogers.  Buddy is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Erlene( Selph) Rogers of Avon Park, FL;  children: Lynell Kendrick of Avon Park, FL, LaRon (April) Rogers of Wauchula, FL, Binki (David) Terrell of Zolfo Springs, FL; 3 grandchildren: LaRon Rogers, Jr., Alex (Derek) Maloney, Katie Rogers; 2 great grandchildren: Aiden Maloney and Madelyn Maloney; brothers: James Rogers, Leroy Rogers; sister: Cookie Hall. He is preceded in death by his parents: Willie and Gertrude Rogers; sister: Violet Scott.  Buddy moved to the area in 1959 from Fort Meade, FL, he accomplished many things such as building the World Harvest & Restoration Ministries and was a pastor.  Buddy has been a lineman, a block mason/contractor, an insurance agent for many years, a rancher, and a talented musician.  Most of all he loved his Lord and Savior.  Buddy loved being with family and friends making memories to cherish for a lifetime. Buddy was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 20 ^th , 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park with Graveside service at 11:15 AM in Bougainvillea Cemetery.
