William Edward Farmer William Edward Farmer, age 67, passed away on Friday August 29, 2014 in Tampa, Fl. He was born on August 4, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio to William and Mary Catherine Farmer. William had been a resident of Highlands County since 1986, coming from Fort Myers, Florida. He served as Principal of Walker Memorial Academy since 1986 and also coached the Lady Eagles Basketball team for 14 years. William is survived by his wife- Walda Farmer; mother- Mary Catherine Farmer of Avon Park; daughters- Misti (Toni) Walbridge of Salt Lake City, Utah; Ashlee (Jonathan) Pipkens-Smith of Avon Park; Son- William David (Ansley) Farmer of Melbourne, Florida; sisters- Candy McDonald of Avon Park; Melissa (Steve) Koehlke of Atlanta, Georgia; and 5 grandchildren-Savannah, Parker, Kai, Reef, and Kenlee. A funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Walker Memorial Seventh Day Adventist Church in Avon Park, Fl.
