William Reece Cummins, Jr.

WILLIAM REECE CUMMINS, JR. William Reece Cummins, Jr., 83, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012 in Sebring. He was born December 26, 1928, to William Reece and Louie Belle (Holt) Cummins in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1994, coming from Lebanon, Tennessee. He was a Litigation Supervisor for Chrysler Motor Co., and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving after World War II. He was a member of Christ Fellowship Assembly of God in Sebring and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, writing and playing music. He was preceded in death in 1996 by his wife of 42 years, Joan Cummins. He is survived by his children, Gwen (Don) Morgan, Michigan; Terry (Rhonda) Cummins, Ohio; Mark (Debra) Cummins, Michigan and Scott (Kristen) Cummins, Michigan; brothers and sisters, Helen Brooks, Tennessee; Charles Cummins, Tennessee; Harold Cummins, West Palm; Faye Burton, Tennessee; Karen Chaney, Tennessee and Wade Cummins, Tennessee; 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 7, at 1:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Nelson Chapel, with Rev. Wade Cummins officiating. Additional services will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012, at 5:00 p.m. at Kinsey-Garrett Funeral Home, 420 S. Lafayette in Royal Oak, Michigan 48067, with visitation from 3:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Christian Memorial Cemetery in Rochester, Michigan.
