William P. Crennan

William P. Crennan, age 84, passed away on Sunday January 18, 2015 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on February 6, 1930 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Martin and Catherine (Heiser) Crennan. A Veteran with the U.S. Air Force, William served our country during the Korean War. In his younger days he was a running back for the Wissahickon Hawks, a semi-pro football team in Philadelphia. William spent his career as a supermarket manager for a major supermarket store in Philadelphia and a sales representative for one of the large wholesale food distributors. He moved to Sebring in 1994 from Montgomeryville, PA. Being an avid golfer he was a member of the Sun N Lake Golf Association. William is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marie Crennan, one brother-in-law, John (Kathleen) Goldsmith-Washington DC; one sister, Patricia McLees-PA, nephews, Timothy and Kenneth Goldsmith and many other loving nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial mass on Monday, January 26, 10:00am, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Avon Park, FL with Father Nicholas McLoughlin officiating.
