William Thomas Coates

William Thomas Coates, age 67, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2012 in Sebring, FL. He was born in Easton, PA on June 28, 1944 to Fernie and Theresa (Miers) Coates. He was a Supervisor for a pipe and Cuppling Co. He was a member of the Tanglewood Community Church; served in the US Navy; he was devoted to his family, loved golfing, car racing and fishing. He was a resident of Sebring since 2007 coming from Bonita Springs, FL, where he was a resident since 2005 coming from Phillipsburg, NJ. He is survived by his wife, Margaret June Coates, Sebring; son, William T. Coates, Jr., Mt. Bethal, PA; Daughter, Valeria A. Daniels (David), Phillipsburg, NJ; Sisters, Patricia Rind, Sebring and Linda Lore, Easton, PA; grandchildren, Heather Stradling, Brittany Daniels, and Dylan Coates; great grandchildren, Tyler and Hannah; He was preceded in death by his sisters, Marjory Evers, NC, Georgia Jeans, NJ and Sandra Jackson, PA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the Rupell Funeral Home, Phillipsburg, New Jersey, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Funeral services will be on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 10:00 AM with visitation 1 hour before service time at the Rupell Funeral Home. Interment will be in Northhampton Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Easton, PA. Contributions may be made in his memory to Good Shepherd Hospice.
