Wilhelmina Rewis

Wilhelmina Rewis, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in Avon Park, FL. She was born on December 18, 1925 in Tupelo, MS to the late Joseph and Leona (Cowart) DeAntonio. Wilhelmina was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. She was the manager of W.W. Mac in Avon Park, and worked in the cafeteria of almost every school in Avon Park. Wilhelmina was a very active member of her church; she enjoyed working in her yard, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her sons: Hoppy (Judy) Rewis of Avon Park; Johnny Ben Rewis of Avon Park; brother: Buck (Norma) DeAntonio of Avon Park; sisters: Kathleen Toler of Reidsville, GA; Rose Mary Lowe of Hinesville, GA; grandson: Steve (Jamie) Rewis of Wauchula; great-grandson: Benjamin Rewis; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Fellowship Baptist Church with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be at the Bougainvillea Cemetery in Avon Park.
