Wendell Long

Wendell Long, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on August 4, 1938, in Ona, Florida, to the late Madison Smith and Hazel (Bryan) Long.

Family was at the center of Wendell's world, and he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He is survived by his devoted wife, Marilyn Long, along with his step-children Shawn Stamps (Paula) and Jerilyn Campbell (Bill) of Sebring, FL. Wendell was a loving grandfather to three grandchildren and a doting great-grandfather to four grandchildren.

Wendell's kind and loving spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. He was a hardworking construction contractor who poured his heart and soul into his work, earning a reputation for his talent and dedication. Wendell was a proud member of the Baptist community and found solace in his faith.  In his free time, Wendell enjoyed listening to Country music and treasured moments with his family.

.A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Somers Hospice House in memory of Wendell.
