Wanda May Seymour

Wanda May Seymour of Sebring, Florida was born on December 9, 1928 in Lexington, Nebraska. She was a homemaker and author. She spent many years in Fox Lake, Illinois and graduated from Grant High School in 1947. After marriage, she raised her family in a number of Midwest cities and lived for 12 years in Stamford, Connecticut. She retired to San Diego, California and finally Sebring, Florida. She completed Children of the Prairie in 2001, a chronicle of her experiences and her family's history on the great plains of Nebraska. She travelled extensively throughout the country enjoying the sights in all fifty states and loved family reunions. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Bryant Seymour of Sebring, Florida; her son Michael Seymour of Round Hill, Virginia; brother Lucky Spooner of DeKalb, Illinois; four grandchildren, David Seymour of Plano, Texas; Heather Seymour of Wylie, Texas; Bryant and Amy Seymour, both of Bluemont, Virginia; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Milton and Theodore Spooner and her son William Seymour. A memorial celebration will be held in Sebring, Florida.
