June Parsley, 91, passed away gently in Winter Haven, FL on March 26, 2017. Survived by her three children Laura Hart of Michigan, Martie Parsley of California, and Jon Parsley of Florida, five grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. June was born June 3, 1925 to John and Ada Maynor in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She met the love of her life, George Martin Parsley in Mt. Vernon High School and told her best friend, 'That's the man I'm going to marry!' On January 22 1945 she did just that and they spent 60 wonderful years together. She was devoted to her family and the Seventh-day Adventist church. Of all her accomplishments, her greatest have been in the lives of her family and friends. She had a unique gift of touching the souls of anyone she met, making them feel loved. Her kind heart and that wonderful smile lit up any room she entered. She had a quiet courage and generous spirit that filled her home with love. She leaves her family and friends with the knowledge they were truly loved and knowing the strength she had from her faith and trust in God. She met death courageously providing the strength for family and friends at this time of great loss. A celebration of her life will be held in Michigan when she will be laid to rest beside her beloved Dude, until reunited in the life they both looked forward to. She took a piece of our hearts and we will never let go. Found among her papers was the following: I won't have to cross the Jordan alone, Jesus died for my sins to atone. When the darkness I see, He'll be waiting for me, I won't have to cross the Jordan alone. Johnny Cash, attesting for her finding beauty and Faith from all sources!
