Wanda Gail Huscusson, 67, of Ft. White, Florida was born on December 24, 1957 to John & Elizabeth Huscusson in Aiken, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, in Lake City, Florida.
Wanda had a passion for the simple things in life. Whether it be on the back of her favorite horse, Molly, riding in the annual Cracker Trail ride across the state, playing a game of Scrabble with a dear friend, reading the latest John Grisham, volunteering at the local thrift store or spending hours nurturing her beautiful azaleas on her properties in Sebring and Ft. White. But her deepest love and passion was for her longtime partner, Roland Karl Bishop, his family and their close friends.
Wanda moved from North Florida to Sebring Florida in the early 1990s where she enjoyed her various passions, but most of all treasured the years of fun experiences and special memories made with Karl. Preceded in death by Karl and lost without him, Wanda relocated to their retirement property in Ft. White, Florida in 2020. Wanda’s strong spirit and simple lifestyle carried her through life’s many ups and downs.
Wanda is survived by one sister, Rose Marie Holland, Franklin, NC and Karl’s family, Wanda’s “bonus relatives”.
A graveside service will be held at Basinger Cemetery in Basinger, Florida on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. A Reception to celebrate Wanda will be held for her friends in North Florida at the Woman’s Club in High Springs, Florida on Saturday, October 4 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
