Walter H. Wilkins, Jr.

WALTER H. WILKINS, JR. Walter H. Wilkins, Jr., 89, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011, in Sebring. He was born September 5, 1922, to Walter H. and Mary Ellen (Murphree) Wilkins in Detroit, Michigan, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1990, coming from Zephyrhills, Florida. He was a sheet metal worker for a sign company and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II, and was the recipient of two Purple Hearts. He was a life member of Highlands Radio Control Club and the D.A.V. He is survived by his wife, Mildred M. Wilkins of Sebring; son, Walter D. Skip and Lori Wilkins of Michigan; step-children, Mary E. and Wayne Bisanz, Michigan; Carol Fox, California; Tom and Charlene Stojsik, Michigan and Judy and Gary Campau, Michigan; brother, Hollis and Dianna Wilkins; sister, Mary E. and Joseph Smith; grandchildren, Cori and Todd Flack; Bryon and Christina Stojsik; Christina and Dan Ayres; Kevin Bisanz; Michelle Fox; Jennifer Bisanz; Matthew Fox; Michelle and Dave Wilkins; Mark and Haley Campau and Mike and Krista Campau and 14 great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Rd., Sebring, FL 33870.
