Walter E. Jackson, Jr., age 58 passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012 in Sebring, Florida. Mr. Jackson was born in Dade City, Florida to Walter E. and Margaret (Palmer) Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a Sergeant for the Avon Park Correctional Institute for 16 years and a lifelong resident of Avon Park, Florida. Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife-Lucile Jackson of Avon Park, Florida; sons-Billy Ray Jackson (Melissa) of Calhoun, Georgia and Bobby Jackson (Jill) of Calhoun, Georgia; daughters-Laura Jackson Pearson of Avon Park, Florida and Sandra Jackson of Avon Park, Florida; parents-Walter E. and Margaret Jackson of Avon Park, Florida; brothers-Roy Jackson (Amy) of Ft. Myers, Florida and Larry D. Jackson (Jacki) of Chesterfield, Virginia; 18 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 24, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park, Florida.
