Walter J. Brigida

Walter J. Brigida, age 98, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023 in Sebring, Florida.  He was born on August 9, 1925 in Bristol, Rhode Island to the late Joseph and Valentina (Raposa) Brigida. Walter had been a resident of Highlands County since 2004 coming from Cape Coral, FL, attended St. Catherine Catholic Church and was a WW II veteran serving in the US Coast Guard in the South Pacific.  He is survived by his Sons – David Brigida (Susan) of Clinton, NY; John Brigida of Roswell, GA; Daughter – Lynne Hutnik (Richard) of Ft. Myers, FL; four Grandchildren and seven Great-Grandchildren.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his Wife – Cacilda Brigida.  Graveside services will be held Monday, December 11, 2023 at Sarasota National Cemetery at 10:30 A.M.
