Wade Vernon Champeno

Wade Vernon Champeno, age 44, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, in Lake Placid, Florida. He was born on July 28, 1981, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, the son of Thomas Robert Mauk and Sheila (Dibert) Mauk. Wade was self-employed and used his creativity to run a car graphics business. He had a deep passion for racing, both participating in and watching it on television. He was also known for his love of wrestling. Wade was very athletic and especially cherished the time he spent with his nieces and nephews, whom he loved as his own. He is survived by his loving parents, Thomas Robert Mauk and Sheila (Dibert) Mauk of Lake Placid, Florida; his sisters, Desirea Champeno of Pennsylvania and Brandy Shawley of Florida; and his Step Brother, Ryan Mauk of Texas; nieces and nephews: Blade Shawley, Gage Shawley, Caidence Lingenfelter, Jaden Simmons, Jolian Hrzic, Payton Mauk, Kinleigh Mauk, Xander Mauk, and Carson Mauk. Wade will be greatly missed and was deeply loved by all who knew him.
