Virginia Faye Woodham

January 14, 1928 — January 23, 2018

Virginia Faye Woodham, age 90, died on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2018 at her home in Avon Park, Florida. Faye was born January 14, 1928 in Felda, Florida to Jim and Susan Granger. Known as Granny or Granny Faye to so many, Faye was a loved, long-time member of Florida Avenue Baptist Church where she was involved in many activities, her favorites being teaching her Sunday School class and singing in the choir. Faye worked many years for the United Telephone Company from where she retired. However, Granny’s most favorite job was just that…being a loving and faithful Granny to her family. Her most recent pride and joy was earning the title of being a Great-Great-Grandma! Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Woodham. She is survived by her daughter Ann Wright and son Danny Woodham, grandchildren: Randy (Trisha) Wright, Tiffany Wright, and Jamie (Meredith) Woodham; great-grandchildren: Chad (Nola), Jerry Lee (Mary Craig), Emma, and Sierra; great-great-granddaughter, Lynlee Wright; and two sisters: Jean McKenzie and JoAnn (Bill) Cooper. Faye’s Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 27th 2018 at 10:00 AM at Florida Avenue Baptist Church.
