Virginia M. Haney

VIRGINIA M. HANEY Virginia M. Haney, 82, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010, in Sebring. She was born March 1, 1928, to Peter and Sarah Mardikian in Syracuse, New York, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1989, coming from Winona Lake, Indiana. She was a Missionary with SIM, joining in 1953, and taught secondary education, primarily physics and Bible in Nigeria. She was on the Staff at Sebring Retirement Village for two years, retiring in 1991 and attended Alliance Church of Sebring. She is survived by her husband, Paul Haney, whom she married June 16, 1951; children, Paula Haney, Warsaw, IN; Sarah Haney Bell, Rock Hill, SC; Peter Haney, Portland, OR and Mary Bendorfeanu, Ft. Wayne, IN; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation with family and friends will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2010, at the SIM Fellowship Hall in Sebring. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 22, 2010, in the SIM Chapel, Rev. Steve Hagen officiating, with interment at Pinecrest Cemetery immediately following.
