Virginia Fridal

Virginia "Ginny" Fridal, age 86, passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior Thursday, April 27, 2017, in Sebring, Florida. She was born in New York City, New York to Edward and Marie Fridal who were godly parents. It was through their influence as well as her grandmother that Ginny decided to become a missionary. She graduated from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina, in 1953 and Charity Hospital School of Nursing in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1956. She became a missionary nurse with Sudan Interior Mission (SIM), and spent over forty years in medical work in Niger, West Africa, mostly with leprosy patients. She retired to the SIM Retirement Village in Sebring, Florida, in 2000. She is survived by her two brothers, George Edward (Carolyn) Fridal and Charles David (Carol) Fridal. A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, Mar 3, 2017, at the SIM Chapel, 900 Andes Drive in Sebring, Florida. Memorial contributions may be given to SIM USA for the Danja Maradi Leprosarium.
