Violet May Flynn Violet May Flynn, age 84, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014 in Avon Park, Florida. She was born on September 14, 1930 to the late Mr. W. Rose and Mrs. Christiana (Parke) Grant. Violet has been a resident of Avon Park since 1996 having come from Washington, D.C. She was an active member of the Ridge Area Seventh Day Adventist Church of Avon Park. Violet is survived by her husband: Samuel Flynn of Avon Park, daughters: Patricia Coleman of Pennsylvania, Janett Flynn of Grand Cayman, Judith Flynn of Netherlands, Colleen Flynn of Lake Mary, FL., sons: Christopher Daley of Maryland, Michael Daley of Maryland, Earl Flynn of Toronto, Canada, Lennox Flynn of Sanford, FL., Dale Flynn of Kingston, Jamaica, brothers: Cecil Harrison of Washington, D.C., Alphanso Grant of Sebring, FL., Ferdinand Grant of St. Ann, Jamaica, Vermont Grant of Avon Park, FL., Desmond Grant of Maryland, sisters: Velma Wynth of Washington, D.C., Norma Grandison of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., 13 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the Ridge Area Seventh Day Adventist Church of Avon Park. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Byron Wells will be at 11 a.m. at the Ridge Area Seventh Day Adventist Church.
