Vernon Roland Wright, Jr., of Sebring, Florida was 66 when his spirit left his body on September 8, 2012. He was born on August 8, 1946, in Wausau, Wisconsin, where he graduated from Wausau High School in 1965. After High School he entered the U.S. Air Force and worked as a Crew Chief on fighter jets during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1971 as a Staff Sergeant and in 1972 he started working for Zimpro, Inc., a water pollution control company, with equipment all over the world. His employment as an equipment startup technician gave him the opportunity to travel to all 50 states and many foreign countries before retiring in 2005 and settling in Sebring, Florida. Retirement gave him time to do what he loved; fishing, square dancing, gardening and playing bridge. He left behind his loving wife, Janet Johnson; two sons from a previous marriage, Scott of Orlando, FL and Jason and grandson Parker of Racine, WI. He also had two older sisters; Beverly Lang and Sandy Turzinski and a younger brother, Brian, all of Wisconsin. Memorial services will take place at a later date in Mt. Gilead, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, keep your money and go out to dinner. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to: Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Sebring, Florida 33870 863-385-0125 www.stephensonnelsonfh.com
