Gerald Hayford Shiver, age 74, of Avon Park, FL,

passed away surrounded by loved ones on
April 27, 2020. He was born on October 7, 1945 in Wauchula, FL, to Louis James Shiver and Bertha Lillian Dunn. Gerald served in the Air Force as a Tech Sgt E-6 for 22 years.  Gerald’s hobbies included listening to music and playing his guitar. He could listen to any song and play it back to you. He also loved taking rides on his Harley Motorcycle, watching the Miami Dolphins and Miami Hurricanes play. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Melissa Ware; Children- Alisha Shiver; Ashley Shiver; Cheyenne Shiver, Rachel Shiver and Gerald Shiver, Jr.; 11 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren; Sister- Leila Shiver. Preceded in death by Parents-Bertha and James Shiver; Mother-in-law- Mary A. Ware; Sisters- Albert Janette; Dorothy Mae Shiver-Albritton; Brother James Louis Shiver.  A Memorial Service will be held at Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at 11:00 AM.
