Truman A. Thomas, age 79, passed away on August 12, 2015 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on March 22, 1936 in Dundee, Florida to the late Sam and Rossie (Shaw) Thomas. Truman worked as a salesman, D.J.,and writer. He has been a lifelong resident of Avon Park and attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He is survived by his longtime companion: Jonelle Peavy of Frostproof; daughters: Sherry (Mark) White of Wauchula, FL, Melissa (Dave) Christensen of Lake Placid, FL; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the Pioneer Village Farm located at: 770 Alton Carlton Rd. Wauchula, FL 33873.
