The late Tressie Lee Mobley (McSwain) was born on April 18, 1952, in Sebring, Florida, to Mr. & Mrs. Johnnie and Maggie McSwain. Mrs. Mobley passed away Friday, October 12, 2012 in Sebring, Florida. She was raised by her uncle and aunt, William and Hazel Hopkins, in Miami, Florida. After moving to Avon Park, in 1971, she met, and later married Carl Mobley. Together they became the parents of three beautiful children, a set of twins, Eric and Sheric, and Tressa. Tressie was a devout Christian, always praising and sharing her love for her Maker our Father in heaven above. She accepted Christ at an early age continuing to serve and praise God until her health began to fail her. While she was still physically able to attend church, she joined the New Mt. Olive A.M.E. Church; under the leadership of Pastor Larry D. Keys, Sr. She leaves to mourn her loving husband, Carl of Avon Park, her son Eric, of Brandon, her daughter Sheric, of Tampa, daughter Tressa and husband Jermaine, of Orlando. She leaves two grandsons, Andrew and Michael. Her loving sisters, Patricia Carter; Roberta Martin and husband Prince, of Avon Park, one brother Earl Sims and wife Patricia of Miami. She also leaves her nieces, Detrice Smith, Kesha Sims, and Katrina Sims; nephews Calvin Carter, Jr., Johnny J. Smith, Jr. and Earl Sims, Jr. and wife Verona. She leaves her goddaughter, Lakeiera Baker; a host of great nieces and nephews; cousins and sorrowing friends. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the New Mt. Olive A.M.E. Church, 818 South Delaney Avenue, Avon Park with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry D. Keys, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Garden Cemetery.
