Travis James Bowers

TRAVIS JAMES BOWERS Travis James Bowers, 19, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010, in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, while helping clean up the oil disaster. He was born April 7, 1991, in Avon Park, Florida and had been a lifelong resident of the area. He attended Sebring High School, where he played football and also received a black belt in karate, taking martial arts from Val Henry. He attended I.T.T. Technical in Tampa and was starting at Edison College in Ft. Myers in the Fall. He attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Travis is survived by his mother, Deborah Bowers-Drummond of Sebring; father, Tyrone James Bowers, Lisbon, Ohio; sister, Paige Jean Bowers of Sebring and god parents, Patricia and Bernard Brodeur of Canada. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, bSebring. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 12, 2010 at St. Catherine Catholic Church, Sebring, Father Jose Gonzalez officiating.
