Tommy Lynn “Tom” Weiss, age 69, passed away peacefully at 7:18 a.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026, in Sebring, surrounded by the love of family and friends. Tom was born in Peoria, IL at OSF Hospital, the son of Albert and Naomi Weiss (Simms). He grew up with a strong sense of family, hard work, and faith that would guide him throughout his life. On October 4, 1987, Tom was baptized at Oak Grove Church of the Brethren, an important moment in his walk with Christ that remained central to his life. He was a current member of the Light House Community Church. Tom worked alongside his brothers as Co-owner and operator of County Line Tools, where he built not only a successful business, but also lifelong friendships and respect from those who knew him. He believed in working hard. Tom was known for his adventurous spirit and his deep love of motorcycles. An avid motorcyclist, he proudly toured 48 states, creating countless memories on the open road and sharing stories from his travels with family and friends. Whether riding across the country or spending time outdoors rock hunting with loved ones, Tom found joy in life’s simple treasures and in the beauty of God’s creation. More than anything, Tom cherished his family. He deeply loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed sharing stories, laughter, wisdom, and adventures with them, and the memories they created together will be treasured forever. Tom also had a compassionate heart for others. He was passionate about feeding the hungry, helping those in need, and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His faith, generosity, and servant’s heart touched many lives throughout the years. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Teresa Jane; his son, Fonzie (Chasiti); his loving daughter Heidi; His brothers; Gene (Connie), Gary (Cindy) and Rich (Marsha) two sisters Donna (Steve) Zook and Pat Montgomery; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Tom will be missed by all his brothers and Sister in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Naomi Weiss; his brothers, Michael (Paula) and Albert Loyd (Betty) Weiss; and his beloved great-grandchild, Ares Lee Hamm. Tom will be remembered for his strong faith, adventurous spirit, generous heart, and unwavering love for his family and friends. Though he will be deeply missed, those who knew and loved him find comfort in the many memories he leaves behind and in the promise of eternal life through Christ. A Funeral Service will be held at Calvert & Johnson Funeral home, Washburn, IL Saturday May 23, 2026 with a visitation to begin at 10 am, a Funeral Service will immediately follow at 12 pm with burial at Buckingham Cemetery. Family will receive family and friends following graveside services at the American Legion 104 E Parkside Dr, Washburn, IL 61570.Donations may be made in Tom’s honor to the Heartland Food Bank in Sebring, FL 928 FL-17 N, Sebring, FL 33870 or made out to Camp Emmanuel 14999 reservoir Rd browning, IL 62624
