Timothy Barry Mason

January 14, 1959 — December 11, 2021

On Saturday, December 11 th , love, not cancer defined the last moments of Tim’s life.  Surrounded by his family to his last breath, Tim never gave up and remained victorious in the eyes of his loved ones. On January 14, 1959, Timothy Barry Mason was born to Howard Mason and Peggy (Campbell) Olibo in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.  Tim was a young boy when his family moved to Indiana, where he fell in love with hunting. He met the love of his life, Pamela Jo (Richardson) Mason, in 1980 and they were married March 21, 1981. Although they often wanted to wring each other’s necks, their love was evident by anyone who met them. One of Tim’s greatest joys were his girls. Jacklyn (Dennis) Cummings and Stacey (Brian) Chmura.  Jackie and Stacey fondly remember traveling with their dad in his semi while listening to the 8 tracks of John Cougar and Bob Seger. The other, and quite possibly even greater, joys of Tim’s life were his grandchildren Kaitlyn, Blake, Emily, Carly, Emma and Ava, and his great-granddaughter, Charlie. Tim always made sure that each of his kids and grands knew exactly how much he loved them and how much they meant to him.

Tim was a respected supervisor at Genpak in Sebring, FL, where he worked until they closed their office in September 2020. Tim’s nephew summed it up best when he said, “Uncle Tim was an old school outlaw trucker that would do anything for anyone”. Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy, brother Erie, and his in-laws, Earl and Nora Richardson.
