Thomas Henry Marshall, age 68, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Thomasville, Georgia. He was born on January 10, 1947 in Sebring, Florida to Henry and Verlyn (Young) Marshall. He had been a resident of Thomasville for eight years having moved from Avon Park, Florida. Tom served in the U.S. Marines during Vietnam and was of the Baptist faith. He retired from Progress Energy after 38 years, served as manager of the Lake Denton Orange Blossom Baptist Association Camp, and was a member of the Sun Ridge Baptist Church. Tom is survived by his wife: Brenda Marshall of Thomasville, GA, mother: Verlyn Marshall of Avon Park, sons: Tommy (Heather) Marshall of North Palm Beach, FL, Clay (Shanie) Marshall of Madisonville, TN, sister: Linda Taylor of Avon Park, and eight grandchildren. Tom was preceded in death by his father: Henry Marshall, and sister: Gail Williams. A memorial service, officiated by: Reverend James Snell and Reverend George Hall, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church, reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
