Thomas Harry Langstine, age 83 passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011 in Sebring, Florida. He was born in Elmira, New York to Francis and Ethel (Warren) Langstine. Mr. Langstine was a heavy equipment operator, member of the Eagles, he served in the Merchant Marines during World War II, and he was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and had been a resident of Avon Park, Florida since 1984 coming from Elmira, New York. He is survived by his sons-Thomas M. Langstine (Diana) of Livingston, Texas, James E. Langstine (Sandra) of Punta Gorda, Florida and Lawrence R. Langstine (Carole) of Elmira Heights, New York; brother-Francis Langstine of Elmira, New York; brother-in-law-Howard Coddington (Mary Ann) of Winter Haven, Florida; sister-in-law-Elinor Gough (John) of Horseheads, New York; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Mr. Langstine was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 63 years-Dorothy J. Langstine and 1 great grandchild. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home with Father Nick McLoughlin officiating.
