Thomas “Mike” Hamblen, 79, passed away on September 4, 2019. He was born in Miami, FL on April 14, 1940 to Captain Tom and Elta Hamblen. He was a Sebring resident since 2016 coming from Kings Park, NY, then Anderson, SC, and was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Alice L. Hamblen of Sebring, FL, his children, Cynthia & John Peterson of Anderson, SC, Thomas & Susan Hamblen of Kings Park, NY, Lee & Diane Hamblen of Kings Park, NY, Elta & Rob Bergold of Patchogue, NY; sister Mrs. Joan Settle of Maryville, TN. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Peter & Nicole Hamblen, Janet Peterson, Jordan & Stefani Hamblen, Sarah Hamblen, Joscelyn & Andy Greenfield, Caroline & Jomer Bunque, Becca & Peter Macukas, John Peterson, Robert Bergold, Thomas Hamblen, Jedidiah Peterson, Jamie Bergold, Anna Hamblen and Abigail Hamblen; Great grandchildren, Ellie Joy Hamblen, and Jonathan Macukas, and his Honorary Kids, Roger Moore and Jocelyn Hathaway Hutzler, and so many, many more. Mike was preceded to Glory by his Parents; 3 Great Grandchildren, Stacy, Marty, and Charley Greenfield; 2 Brothers-in-laws, Reverend Robert E. Settle and Andrew L. Carlson. Funeral service will take place on Monday, September 9, 2019 at Maranatha Baptist Church at 11:00am with family receiving friends beginning at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Following Mike’s heart for missions, the family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Haggai International on their website www.haggai-international.org or by mailing a check to P.O. Box 13, Atlanta, GA 30370-2801.
