Thomas Jefferson Bailey

Thomas Jefferson Bailey, 76, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024, in Lake Wales, Florida. He was born in Bonifay, Florida on October 14, 1947 to Tina Clara Yohn and George Marvin Bailey.

Thomas was a proud Vietnam War Veteran who flew and serviced helicopters during his two terms overseas in the United States Army.

He has lived in Wauchula since 1986. Thomas was a step-father to two children as well as a full-time caregiver of his step-grandson. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and grilling.

He is survived by his brother, Joseph (Christine) Evans of Bristol. Virginia and step-daughters; Misty Phillips of Avon Park, Florida and Crystal Phillips of Tampa, Florida along with 1 step-grandchild; Ethan Bailey of Wauchula, Florida.

He is preceded in death by Mother Tina Clara Money (Tina Clara Yohn); Brother, Robert C. Money; and Sisters, Eloise Pepples and Nancy Ledford.

Service will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Chapel, 111 East Circle Street, Avon Park, Florida.

Interment will follow in Bougainvillea Cemetery.
