Sebring

Thomas "Tom" Alton Mosher, 84, of Sebring, FL, passed away on November 30, 2024. Born on September 10, 1940, in Newark, OH, to the late Wert and Lucille Mosher, Tom’s life was a testament to dedication, love, and service to others.

Tom lived in Ohio, where he built a successful career and raised a loving family. In 2020, he and his beloved wife, Dreama Wiseman Applegate Mosher, made Sebring, FL, their home. A man of enduring faith, Tom attended St. John Methodist church in Sebring.

Tom’s life was defined by his many roles—dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his cherished wife, Dreama, and his loving children: Brad Mosher (Debbie) of Ohio, Terry A. Mosher (Jenny) of Ohio, Lori A. Nienhaus (Tony) of Ohio, Amy A. Wingrove of Ohio, and Mitchell Applegate (Julie) of Sebring, FL, the late Robert Applegate (Christie) of Ohio, Kenneth Applegate (Mary) of Ohio, and David Applegate (Darlene) of Kentucky. Tom's legacy extends through his 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, each a reflection of the love and values he instilled in his family. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Wert and Lucille Mosher and his sister, Marjorie Hensley.

Professionally, Tom was an accomplished businessman and later thrived in a 32-year career with Bowman/Barnes, where he earned multiple accolades as a high-performing sales professional. He brought integrity and a tireless work ethic to every endeavor.

Tom was also deeply involved in his community. As a Master Mason, Worthy Patron with the Order of the Eastern Star, and a 54 year member of the Scottish Rite, he exemplified the principles of brotherhood, charity, and leadership.

Tom had many fond memories of fly fishing with his dad and hunting with his sons. He was an avid fan of both the Ohio State football team, GO BUCKS and the Cleveland Browns. He was a member of the Wildfire Golf Club of New Concord, Ohio for many decades. While living in Sebring one of the highlights of his week was joining his friends in the Poker Club. With his wife Dreama he enjoyed traveling the world.

Tom will be remembered as a man of strong character, unwavering dedication, and boundless kindness. He approached every challenge with determination, every relationship with sincerity, and every moment with gratitude and devotion to family. He had many friends and family that helped him on this long journey with cancer.
