Thelma J. Parker, 87, passed away on June 6, 2020.Thelma was the daughter of the late William M. and Thelma (Magill) Manion. Step-daughter of Leland White and Helen Manion. She was born in Great Bend, KS on August 30, 1932. Thelma  resided in Highlands County for the past 30 years, formerly living in Kansas City, Mo. Thelma was employed as a clerk working for Western Electric and was a practicing member of the Protestant faith. She loved quilting and crocheting and her dog. She was a cheerleader for the Independent Princesses Running Group. She is survived by her loving children – Denise Whitaker of Sebring, FL and Dennis Parker of Missouri; sister- Leanne Ritchie of LaJolla, CA. Surviving are also 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.
