Teressa Diane Bland

Teressa Diane Bland, age 58, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015 in Lake Placid, Florida.  She was born on June 29, 1957 in Gainesville, Florida to Henry N. and Joyce (Arms) Bland.  Teressa worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant.  She lived in Harker Heights, Texas having moved there from Lake Placid in 2012 to be near her mother.  She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers; she also enjoyed “keeping up with everybody” on Facebook.  She was an excellent cook and most especially treasured the time she spent with her family.  She is survived by her husband, Jay Smith – Texas, father, Henry Bland – Georgia, mother, Joyce Bland Heiney – Texas, daughter, April Gonzales – Lake Placid, son, Jason Gonzales – Sebring, brothers, Nelson Bland (Susan) – Jacksonville, Johnny Bland – Sebring, David Bland – Texas and eight grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her son, Phillip Gonzales.  A Memorial Service for Teressa will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring.
