Ted Hassell Johnson

Ted H. Johnson, age 81, of Avon Park, FL passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016.  He was born August 3, 1935 Alamance, NC to Robert Harold and Eveline (Turner) Johnson.  Ted retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant having served during the Korean and Vietnam War.  He liked to fish, hunt, tinker with computers, loved his First Baptist Church family of which he was a member, was a member of the Disabled Veterans, and has been a resident of Avon Park, FL since 1972.  He is survived by his Wife-Dorothy Johnson of Avon Park, FL; Children-Tina J. Ballentine (Bill) of Babson Park, FL; Ted H. Johnson (Lisa) of Mebane, NC; Robert J. Stokes (Laurie) of Palm Harbor, FL; Cindy S. Oswald (Wayne) of SC; Brother- Billy Johnson of NC; Sisters- Mary Ann Lancaster of NC; Betty Jean Bowman of VA; 7 Grandchildren; and 13 Great Grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by a Brother-Bobby Harold Johnson.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 12:00 Noon with a visitation starting at 11:00 AM at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home with interment following in Bougainvillea Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Road, Sebring, FL  33870.
