It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Tanya Michella Gerome, who passed away on May 17, 2026 in her hometown of Sebring, Florida.
Tanya was known for her friendly and good-hearted spirit. Her career in the food and beverage industry was more than just a job; it was a reflection of her passion for bringing joy and comfort to others through her talents and warm hospitality.
Family was at the center of Tanya’s world. She shared a loving union with her husband, Frico Gerome, to whom she was married on March 14, 1996, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Together, they raised two cherished children, their son Jemarion Gerome and daughter Nikita Janne, who were her pride and joy. Tanya’s mother, Janetta Shoffner, survives her, carrying forward the legacy of love and resilience she passed down.
Tanya’s love for life extended beyond family and work. A gifted cook, Tanya loved cooking meals that brought family and friends together around the table. Her bond with her beloved dog, Luska, reflected her nurturing soul. Tanya treasured her traveling adventures, memories that were made in Jamaica and Germany, where some of her favorite memories. The beaches she loved so dearly were places where she felt most alive, soaking up the sun and creating lasting memories with those closest to her.
In mourning Tanya’s passing, we remember the everyday acts of love and kindness that defined her. Her legacy is filled with laughter, travel, shared meals, and unconditional love—a legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Tanya Michella Gerome will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by her husband Frico, her children Jemarion and Nikita, her mother Janetta, and all who were touched by her gentle spirit. May her memory be a blessing and a source of comfort to all who loved her.
