Talcott David Starr, age 75 passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012 in Sebring, Florida. He was born in Lorain, Ohio on April 10, 1937 to Myron and Irene (Lee) Starr. Mr. Starr was a test tollman for the telephone company, member of Union Congregational Church, he was a Mason, member of the Elks, VFW, Eagles, Moose Lodge, Am Vets, he had been a resident of Avon Park since 1967 coming from Elyria, Ohio; he served in the United States Navy during the Korean War, he enjoyed fishing, gardening and riding motorcycles and spending time with his family and friends. Mrs. Starr is survived by his wife of 28 years-Nina Starr of Avon Park, Florida; sons-Fred Starr of Silver Springs, Florida, David (Ute) Starr of Sebring, Florida, Tim Starr of Jacksonville, Florida and James (Priscilla) Post of Ringgold, Georgia; daughters-Darlene Cooper of Sebring, Florida, Dawn (Joe Fioriglio) Hunt of Lake Mary, Florida and Luanna (Rob) Wiethop of St. Louis, Missouri; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and 4 dogs that he loved. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-Richard Starr. Visitation will be held Monday, June 11, 2012 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Union Congregational Historical Church with Pastor Bill Breylinger officiating. Burial will follow in Bougainvillea Cemetery.
