Steven Frank Worden

54, passed away on July 8, 2012, at home surrounded by his family and friends, after a heroic battle with cancer. Frank was born to Harold and Mary Lucille Worden, in Avon Park, Florida, August 23, 1957. He graduated from Avon Park High School and was a lifelong resident of Avon Park. He worked for the Highlands County Sheriff's Department for 32 years where he attained the rank of Administrative Lieutenant. He was a member of the Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church. Frank was an avid Nascar Racing Fan and spent much of his free time watching and attending the races, but his favorite pass time was spending time with his beloved family and friends. He enjoyed cooking, grilling and entertaining, and with his wife Tammy, opened his home for all the large family functions. Frank was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, friend to all and a devoted man of faith. Frank leaves his loving memories to his wife Tammy Worden; children, Mandie, (Dominic) Pierce and Josh Saucier; parents, Harold and Mary Lucille Worden; brothers, Hal Worden and Gary (Tracy) Worden; sister-in-law, Anita Worden; mother-in-law, Linda Travers; 4 grandchildren, 2 nieces and 3 nephews. He also had a large extended family and will be missed by all who loved him. Funeral services will be held at Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church, 2600 North Highlands Boulevard, Avon Park, Florida at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 with Rev. George Hall officiating. The family will be greeting friends and relatives from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in Bougainvillea Cemetery.
