Steve was a proud graduate of Bishop McNamara High School in Kankakee, where he was known as a standout baseball pitcher. His love for the game stayed with him throughout his life, along with his unwavering loyalty to the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Cubs, and Chicago Bears. He dedicated many years of his career as a master automotive mechanic with Commonwealth Edison and also worked extensively with Ace Pest Control. He was a devoted and faithful husband to his beloved wife, Judy, and took great pride in being a father and “Papa.” Nothing brought him more joy than his grandchildren, and he cherished every moment spent with them. In retirement, Steve continued to live a life of service and activity. He enjoyed riding his bike, working in the yard, and helping anyone in need. He also served as a property manager in his retirement community, a role that reflected his dependable and caring nature. Steve is survived by his beloved wife, Judy Davis; his children, Kristopher Davis (Carrie), Beth Casey (Shawn), Sara Headley (Joshua), Stewart Thompson (fiancée Amnesty), Lugenia Thompson (Rich), and Amee Goddy.
