Stella Joyce Flint

Stella Joyce Flint, age 89, of Sebring, Florida, passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. She was born in Pike, NY on March 22, 1923 to Darwin and Jessie (Ackerman) Flint. She joined SIM in 1951 and faithfully served the Lord for 37 years in Igbaja, Nigeria, West Africa, teaching in a Bible school and seminary and writing radio programs. One of her favorite verses was Romans 8:28, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, and to them who are called according to His purpose." Joyce loved her Lord and in turn, He worked through her to reach many African people for Him. She is survived by her sister, Betty Rodgers of Vero Beach, FL and was preceded in death by her sister Willa Jean Talbott, and brother, Edwin Flint. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the SIM Chapel in Sebring with Dr. David Richardson officiating. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 AM at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
