Moseley, Sol Youmans, Sr., 89, died Friday, May 25, 2012 at home in Avon Park, Fl. Born 1 February 1923, in Lyons, Ga, he served in the Pacific with the US Army's 112th Cavalry during WW II. In 1946 he and his wife Jurelle moved to Avon Park and he soon formed a partnership with Dan Bennett. Bennett and Moseley Building Contractors built many of the homes, schools and churches in Highlands County in the 1950's and 1960's. Sol served as the Building Inspector for the City of Avon Park in the 1980's. He was active in the Assembly of God Church until his later years when he attended the Sanctuary Church of God. He loved to fish and enjoyed taking others fishing. He taught all his grandchildren to fish with a couple inheriting his love for fishing. Sol was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Jurelle; and grandson, Ronnie Moseley. He is survived by his wife, Katie; son and his wife,S.Y. and Lynn Moseley; daughter and her husband, Martha Ann and Gary Pendrak; grandchildren, Trevor Moseley, Alecia Heuback, Stephanie Pobst, Christopher and Abigail Pendrak, Michael and Jennifer Pendrak, one sister, Elizabeth Mackintosh; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, June 8, 2012 from 5-7 pm with the funeral service Saturday, June 9, at 11 am, both at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home.
