Shirley L Whaley-Gledhill

Shirley Louise Whaley-Gledhill, age 88, passed away on May 6, 2024, in Sebring, FL.  She was born on May 26, 1935, in Wyandotte, MI, to her loving parents Henry and Louise Sieloff. She was preceded in death by her parents, thirteen siblings, and her first husband, Bill. Shirley is survived by her loving husband Harold, who will forever cherish the memories they shared together. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who will always hold her dear in their hearts.

Right out of high school, Shirley began her career at Wyandotte Chemical and later worked at Ohio Medical Antithesis Equipment Manufacturer for 38 years. Her dedication and hard work were evident in everything she did.

In her free time, Shirley found joy in gardening and fishing, passions that allowed her to connect with nature and find peace. She also had a talent for cooking and delighted in preparing meals for her loved ones. One of her greatest joys was traveling to the Florida Keys by boat, creating cherished memories with her family and friends.

Shirley's loving heart extended beyond her hobbies, as she was a devoted wife to her first husband, Bill W Whaley, and later found happiness with her beloved Harold E Gledhill.

Shirley was a kind, loving, and giving soul, known for her energetic spirit and adventurous nature. Her positive energy and zest for life live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on May 10, 2024, 1:00PM at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home on Sebring Parkway in Sebring, FL, a graveside will immediately follow at the Bougainvillea Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Good Shepherd Hospice of Sebring, FL in Shirley's honor.
