Shirley F. Hinote

Shirley F Hinote, age 82, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015 in Sebring, Florida. She was born on May 14, 1933 in Lorida, Florida to the late Vernon and Nona Dean. Her family moved to Miami where she attended school and then moved back to Highlands County in 1962, where she and her husband, Leroy, raised their four children. Shirley was a homemaker and worked for the Highlands County Zoning Department for 11 years. She attended of the Church of the Brethren in Lorida. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, her dogs, and taking road trips with anyone willing to go with her. Survivors include, her daughters: Julie Hinote-Lorida, FL; Lora Lee Kelly (Marty)-Avon Park, FL, her sons: Vernon Hinote (Teresa)-Lorida, FL; Kenny Hinote (Jane)-Lorida, FL, her brother: Ronnie Dean-Pompano Beach, FL, her grandchildren: Casey, Trevor, Amy, J.D., Allison, and her great-grandchildren: Carley, Jaxon, Coby and Bowen. She was preceded in death by her husband: Leroy H. Hinote, Jr. There will be a funeral service on Friday, July 17, 2015, 1:30pm, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home. The family will begin receiving friends at 12:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Basinger Cemetery in Fort Basinger, FL.
