Shirley Dean Anderson

Shirley Dean Anderson, age 76, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024, in Sebring, Florida. Born on June 25, 1948, in Luxora, Arkansas, to the late Lonnie and Sarah Young, Shirley was a woman of unwavering faith, boundless love, and a generous spirit.

Shirley made Sebring her home in 1983 after moving from Key Largo, Florida, and became an active member of the Sunridge Baptist Church. Her faith and church community were central to her life.

Shirley was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Peter Anderson, and a nurturing mother and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her loving children: Anthony Anderson and Kenneth Anderson, both of Orlando, Florida; Doris Marie Anderson of Sebring, Florida; and Justin Travis Anderson (Ashley) of Sebring, Florida. She also leaves behind her cherished sister, Patsy Young of Osceola, Arkansas; and seven treasured grandchildren: Jasmine Anderson, Quentin Lipari, Justin Anderson, Jr., Shaylah Anderson, Jordan Anderson, Abbey Webster, and Avery Webster.

Known for her warm and vibrant personality, Shirley found joy in simple pleasures. She loved to shop and explore flea markets, finding beauty and value in overlooked treasures. Her enthusiastic and fun-loving nature brought a sense of joy to every gathering, while her kind heart and nurturing presence provided comfort and strength to those who knew her.

Shirley will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a grandmother who cherished her family above all else. Her faith-filled life, enthusiasm, and generosity have left a lasting impact on her family, friends, and community. Shirley's warmth, kindness, and steadfast faith will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held at First Assembly of God of Sebring, FL on January 3, 2025 at 11:00 am, where family and friends are invited to honor her memory and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
