Bruce Allen

May 4, 1952 — January 23, 2026

Sebring

He lived his life with strength, grounded in faith and guided by deep love for his family and those around him. Integrity, devotion, and doing what was right defined the way he lived and served.

At the age of 22, Bruce went to an altar and accepted Jesus Christ into his heart. He later said he was speechless for nearly half an hour, which was hard to believe for anyone who knew him. From that moment forward, his life was devoted to the Lord.

He attended Circleville Bible College before it became Ohio Christian University, then returned to Western Pennsylvania where he faithfully served as a pastor for more than 40 years.

His ministry led him across seven denominations, including independent churches, the Evangelical Church of North America, Free Methodist, United Methodist, Wesleyan, Presbyterian, and Lutheran churches, as well as a city rescue mission in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Denominations never mattered to him. What mattered was the message of Jesus Christ as a personal Savior. He never watered down the Gospel, but consistently preached a personal relationship with Christ and a life of holiness.

Bruce married Karen on June 28, 1975, and together they built a life rooted in faith, love, and service. In June 2025, they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Maryland surrounded by their four daughters and their families. He was deeply proud of his four daughters and loved his family with his whole heart.

He loved the woods, loved helping people, and had a special love for the campground and the sense of community it brought. He took pride in offering support, lending a helping hand, and caring for the beach area, always working to make it welcoming and well-kept for others. The impact of his presence, generosity, and service will continue to be felt by all who knew him.

He leaves behind his wife, Karen Allen; four daughters and their spouses; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

As a family, we take comfort in the promise of Scripture: “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:23). We trust he is now at peace in God’s presence. His legacy of faith, love, service, and strength will live on through his family and all whose lives he touched.
